1. Who we are

VisionLink ("we", "us") is an AI-assisted eye screening platform that helps community health volunteers (CHVs), clinicians, and partner facilities detect cataracts and other eye conditions. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

2. Information we collect

  • Patient screening data: eye photos, age range, screening notes, and AI risk assessments.
  • Account data for CHVs and doctors: name, email, role, and facility affiliation.
  • Device and usage data: app version, device model, and crash diagnostics.

3. How we use information

  • Generate AI risk assessments and route screenings to certified ophthalmologists for review.
  • Coordinate referrals to partner hospitals when follow-up care is recommended.
  • Improve screening accuracy, app reliability, and population-level eye health insights.

4. Consent

CHVs must obtain informed consent from each patient before capturing screening images. Patients may withdraw consent and request deletion of their data at any time by contacting us.

5. Data sharing

We share screening data only with the reviewing doctor and the referral facility chosen for follow-up. We do not sell personal or health data. Aggregated, de-identified statistics may be shared with public health partners.

6. Storage and security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by role and protected by row-level security. Offline screenings are stored on the device and synced securely when a connection is available.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Contact us at the number below to exercise these rights.
